Hi All, I just purchased a New Model Army transition S/N 16616. The number matches throughout the gun and I am wondering if there is any information out there with regards to a month and year of manufacture, which contract this gun was associated with, who's initials are on the cartouche (it is hard for me to interpret) and any other interesting info on these fascinating guns. The barrel is a two line address and does not have the "New Model" stamp on it. The front sight is a silver cone. Ill try to post pics soon.
