IDing a Model 11/Maybe a redone RAS
Inherited this from grandfather, trying to learn more about it. Serial starts with 174 and is on the receiver in front of the loading chute which seems 1905 or pre but the barrel markings and lack of lettering on the receiver, design of stock is throwing me. Anything is appreciated.

I'm guessing 1916 but you can date it https://www.remingtonsociety.org/serials-1890-1931/

What is the company name on the barrel? Does the barrel serial number match the receiver?
Remington Arms Co. 1905 to 1911
Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. 1911 to 1916
The Remington Arms Union Metallic Cartridge Co., Inc. 1916 to 1920
Remington Arms Co., Inc. 1920 onwards
What is with the reluctance to post the complete serial number? Is it stolen?

I’ll get more pictures. And no, lol you miss the part where it was inherited? I’ve just always been taught not to put the whole thing on anywhere so it’s habit.Researcher wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 6:42 pm What is the company name on the barrel? Does the barrel serial number match the receiver?
